Welcome to Roger Lougher's website.
The photographs here are from two different projects, which deal with my response to the Welsh landscape. Gallery 1: private commission: photographs taken around the Taff River in Llandaff, inspiring an on-going piece of work to photograph the rivers that run through Cardiff. More pictures from this project will appear this year. Gallery 2: 2005-2007 project: a record of all the Gorsedd Stones throughout Wales. These circles are erected as part of the celebrations connected with the National Eisteddfod, inspired by the 18th Century radical bard Iolo Morgannwg.
There is a limited edition book available called Some of All the Stones which contains all of these pictures. For more information please use the contact button to email Roger Lougher. The photographs of the Gorsedd stones have led to a further personal project in which Roger Lougher is photographing the bards of Wales and the trophies they have won through competing in the National Eisteddfod. These photographs are not yet on the site but hopefully will begin to appear before the end of this year.
